Am getting a slight splutter/hesitation when in 5th gear and tottering
along around 50mph and sometimes feel like the car is spluttering. Its
not much and doesnt last and if you put the foot down it seems to pull
ok. Are there any sensors that could cause this? Also i have changed
the fuel filter to see if this was the problem.

Car is a 2004 BKC engine 1.9tdi A3

Cheers

I get that sometimes too. I think its the variable vanes readjusting their angle of attack inside the turbo. I think its just a characteristic of the turbo. Mine has done it for years and no problems so far.

Again thanks for that, does re-mapping make it feel any better? I have been running one of the in line units for over 100,000miles on my 110tdi seat leon and it makes the bottom end grunt far better, not sure about the 105bhp engines dont think you get a box for them. Stevee i see in your sig that yours has been re-mapped. Who did you go for?

The 105 is amazing for remapping. They can get 150+ bhp from them. The only thing to suffer is the standard clutch.

My remap was from a local guy - ABT remap. The 100bhp doesnt remap up aswell as the 105 because the 105 has better injectors and has a FMIC (front mount intercooler) whereas the 100bhp has a SMIC (side mount intercooler).

The car will feel totally different after the remap. More economical too. Its a no brainer. [Y]

R-Tech is a site sponsor and is a top guy for a remap.
