Hi

My sister recently bought a MK1 180bhp TT, which has had a set of replica 18" RS4's fitted.

The only problem is, that the inside edge of the tyres appear to be getting rubbed away by the suspension strut, lower spring mount.

The car isn't lowered and as far as I can tell is pretty much bog standard apart from the wheels.

Also, when she took the car to an Audi garage. The guy told her it was because the wheels were the wrong size as her car only came with 16" wheels as standard, which I think is wrong ??

I thought they came with 17" standard, even so this still shouldn't present a problem if the tyres are the correct size right ? Anyone come across this themselves and know a fix.

You could put hub spacers on to bring the wheel out more from
The hub and suspension. Welcome!

welcome to the site fella [Y]

it could be that the offset is incorrect but spacers should solve the problem.

hubcentric ones will be the best ones to go for. depending on thickness you may need longer bolts too
