I find it a matter of habit whatever car I'm in. I hate to we people dump the clutch or the car lean as the gearbox and clutch is dragged upto speed! I'm abit of a nerd!

I sometimes dont use the clutch in the van alright but i havent chanced it in the A4. It comes naturally after a short while!

i do it pretty much in everything i drive, or ride! less strain on clutch i thought plus puts you at right revs for going again, reather than engine trying slow you down

It comes naturally after awhile. I see so many people ride the clutch and change down making the engine lurch. Is it a must with lorries gav?
