hi, just joined the forum with the hope of an answer. Changed rear discs , pads and handbrake shoes 12 mth ago on 2011 4.2tdi q7, the pads have worn and put light on, the fronts are still like new and not covered many miles in last 12 mth. The Audi garage said they are complex and the air gap is to be set with a vagcom or iid, I didn’t see this in any of the many videos I watched before changing them, and it’s strange as the fronts would generally wear first. The rears are same as Porsche and V10 tourag with triple square male m16 for callipers as opposed to fronts which is a pin, so rear callipers have to be removed just for pads to be changed. Any help on this matter will be appreciated, just want to know if I need a tool for pads. The park brake is manual not electronic 🙀
