Took a trip to Sutton Coldfield Audi this afternoon and came across these, thought i'd get some quick pics.

I was considering Monza Silver at one point but having seen it in the flesh today i'm undecided. It looked like a dirty/unwashed silver when you look at it next to Ice Silver but at some angles it looked quite nice.

This one was a 2.0T S-line with privacy glass.

This is a Lava Grey SE:

Hmmm may have to pop in tomorrow and take a look at that, although I have fallen out with one of the sales guys at Wolves so i'll have to make sure he doesn't spot me hehehe [:D]

Dave, the Silver one at Sutton looks like it's just about to go in for prep, if you can get there this week you may be able to see it. Don't think you'll be impressed with it though, it's a very dull and uninspiring colour IMO.

I'll have to have a look at one. To be honest Sem, I quite like it from looking at the pics. It's just not as impressive as black though.

They're so arrogant at Wolves. One of the guys walked off when I went in asking if they'd got a monza silver A3. Tools. Still, their loss not mine.

Ive got the lava grey on mine. Its really nice - At night, it looks like a deep metallic black. At dusk its got a dark purple sheen to it, which looks really nice, and in bright sunlight and if you catch it at the right angle it looks almost bluish. It really is a nice, vibrant and flexible colour.

Audi have just discontinued some of their older colours, I think Lava Grey will be the next to go as it has been around for years. Sounds a bit daft but this is what puts me off Lava Grey.

It is a really nice colour though, the pearl effect is one of the best IMO.

davemk - I dont have any swirls at all!

The paint still looks great when its very dirty, thats what I love about the colour. From up close you can see the dirt, but as soon as you walk 5 metres away, you cant see it.

Cant belive theyre discontinuing it. what an amazing finish.
