It will have to be scanned with a fault coder to see whats exactly wrong. What engine has it got?

So its got lumpy idling?

It could be so many things, from spark plugs, Coilpacks, temperature sensor, MAF etc.

I just saw another post of yours saying its a 2.0tdi. Then i would suspect MAF, temperature sensor, injector wiring loom, anyone of the sensors,

It needs to be plugged in to a scanning machine/ fault code reader to see what the problem is really as theres no point replacing things just for the sake of it.

It doesn't always work but eBay have cheap hand held scanner which can read fault codes. Some independent Vw garages have the software too.

You can just replace one. You can Buy a reconditioned one for around £100-150. Theres no need to replace all 4. The wiring loom that feeds the injector also is very common to be faulty and it makes a injector appear faulty. I wouldnt rush down the route of a new injector, and never 4 for that matter.

Why do so many "specialists" talk rubish. What fault codes did it have mate?

If you scan the car with a program called vcds or vagcom, it can tell you whether the timing is out and by how much it needs adjustment.

Sometimes if the battery has been disconnected the car computer has to relearn new settings and driving styles. Hopefully thats done it for you!!!
