My local Audi dealer had an event today, where it was possible to drive a range of cars, including the S4 Avant. As it was only two months ago, I bought my (still) new A4 Avant, the dealer remembered me right away, and offered me the keys to the S4, as soon as I stepped in the door. Needles to say, I was away pretty quick, and on my way to the motorway, getting to know the car (well, it's like mine, with extra power), when I noticed that another customer drove behind me in a S5 (both cars were red, and easy to spot). It seems both of us quickly forgot everything about speed-limits, hitting 200 km/h in no time - and just enjoying the soundtrack of two V6's giving all they got. I'm really impressed with the soundtrack of these engines, and can't stop smiling just thinking about it.

The car was fully equipped with everything from the B&O sound system, to Audi Drive Select and the S tronic gear box... - what a car...... - at least I have something to dream about tonight...

After that I had the pleasure of driving the TTS, which I weren't that impressed with, and the new A8 with a 4.2 TDI engine - a dream car as well, although the S4 is the one I would go for personally, if I had a better paid job... [^]

Some power! I'm surprised you didn't like the TTS as much, they are a quick machine. Things like that event wouldn't happen over here!

It was an S5 Sportback, which explains the V6T - and sorry for the confusion...

To be fair, I drove the TTS after the S4, which might be the reason why I wasn't to hooked on it.

Actually the day had a dissapointment as well, as there was supposed to be an RS5 available for driving, but it wasn't there, frustrating enough... - the dealer didn't know what had happened to it...

Cambridge Audi hold days like this at Duxford Imperial war museum stevee, got to drive a brand new TT when I was 17!

You go out in a convoy round some B roads and ends up being a flat out race down the motorway.

Didn't realise the S4 has gone back to V6 power.

I have no idea why I wrote turbo there - I know it's supercharged.
