Hi I've got an 04 1.6fsi sport.Over the last week or so the rear nearside feels like I am driving with a flat tyre.It feels like it's wobbling all over the place. It's noticable probably more at low speeds.
I have checked tyre pressures had tracking checked and wheels balanced.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what might be the problem. Thanks for any advice

Possibly a wheel bearing fault or even a buckled wheel?

Have you tried swapping the rear nearside wheel to the other side or to the front to see if the fault transfers?

Could a wheel bearing cause this then? I had thought a could hear a noisy wheel bearing before but had put it down to tyre noise.
I was going to try the spare wheel just to see if that made any difference.

Cheers

What happens if you jack the car up and spin the wheel, can you see any odd movement then? Deffo swap the wheels over to see if the problem follows the wheel as well.

Rear wheel bearings will make a noise before they fail, although once they do go you'll know about it. Deffo worth getting it checked out.

Let us know the outcome. Good luck! [Y]

Had the car looked at, they have checked everything, half hour road test and nothing is amiss Front brake pads needed replacing and it needs two front tyres

Although it does not seem as bad now was it all in my mind?????

Thanks for the replies anyway.
I was thinking of selling anyway so now might be the time ;-)
