Car in question is a 2004 A3 1.9tdi BKC engine.

Sorry another question on this bit of the car, tonight i tested the
electronic flap in front of the EGR should it operate like this. Turn
ignition on and it gives a very little move, switch off ignition and it
shuts for a second then returns to being open? Is this correct operation or is something wrong?

It's the anti shudder mate. It's so when you turn off the engine it stops without a big shudder.

No probs, Yep its working properly. It just makes it nicer when the engine stops.

It gets so dirty in there. Its a clean im overdue doing myself!

Yep mine was well full of crud, only took the flap part off looked too complicated to remove the EGR should i try and get the EGR off to get it properly cleaned?
