Just spoken to my dealer - he says January 2009 delivery for cars ordered in Week 36 ( Beg September ) - apparently a long delay with these engines....[*-)]

I think they're quoting that for deliveries placed now.

Not sure the reason for the delay.

Strange, I was able to look at the Audi Intranet today (at the stealers) and it said the 170 was due mid November.

Hmm, strange. Hoping to take a trip to the dealers at the weekend so I'll ask and see what they say. Was that Audi Wolves Sem?

It was at Shrewsbury, part of the same group as Wolves.

That's even wierder Sem! I've been in to Shrewsbury today and they said production has been delayed until wk 42 so delivery is likely to be January.

The guy I spoke to checked in the office before quoting the lead time but I didn't see it first hand like you.

You've probably seen the models I've seen but I took some a photo of a Sport and S-line front end for comparison. I'll post it in your thread in case you missed them.

Bizarre! is that the lead time they were quoting on the sportback as when they showed me it said 'mid November' was for the 3 door.

Maybe the sportback and 3 door have different lead times?

Pics would be helpful mate, i'm really edging towards Ibis white at the moment but I can't bring myself to order a car that I have not seen in the flesh.

It's the Sportback I'm looking at, although the salesman wasn't specific to whether the build / delivery dates were for the 3dr or SB.

Ibis white does look good (even better seeing as it's at no extra £££'s!). I can't convince the wife on it though.
