Consumer Reports 2012: Audi best European brand

The brand with the four rings performed impressively at this year�??s Consumer Reports, earning the status of best European car manufacturer. Audi improved by 18 places compared with 2011 and is rated well ahead of its premium competitors by customers.

The Ingolstadt-based premium manufacturer Audi is favored by U.S. customers as the best European brand. No fewer than six models were awarded the status �??Recommended�?? by Consumer Reports, the world�??s largest organization for independent product tests which was founded in 1936. According to this, U.S. customers rate the Audi A3, A4, A4 allroad, A5, A6 and Q5 models particularly highly. Of all Audi models evaluated, the A7 achieved the highest customer satisfaction ratings.
The ratings comprise reliability and customer satisfaction as well as the crash ranking and a vehicle test by Consumer Reports. The basis for the survey is formed by 1.2 million cars and the experience that subscribers have had with them. Further information is available at www.ConsumerReports.org.
