Gears are getting stiff and the biting point is quite low down. Is this a sign of clutch or can I adjust the gear s elector or something like that?

may be worth bleeding the clutch hydraulics (master and slave/actuator cylinders) to see if there's a bit of travel you can get back on the pedal, but otherwise, yeah, sounds to me like new clutch time... [:(]

I would of thought a high biting point would be a worn clutch, i'd put it in 5th around 30-35mph and floor it and see if it slips.

I'd change all the fluids and bleed the system and go from there.
