I had been experiencing a bad smell when stationary. I checked under the hood and have no idea how I missed this. Discovered a breather tube sticking out a bit and a pool of oil sitting my the HT/coil packs.





So, yeah. I believe that was the smell.

How's she running?

Surprisingly well, smell has gone now. Don't think any oil could have got into anywhere serious. I'll need to change the sparks anyway, eurocarparts have a "sale" on.

Is there anything I should worry about davemk?

Well, I've got a few issues with the a4 atm. But they aren't major ones so it doesn't bother me. Clutch is the next thing.

All in all, it's really nice to drive for a 15 year old car. I like the fact I'm learning loads about the motor as well.

I had a saxo vtr before the a4, so it's quite a change in driving style. Need to learn about how to use vcds though as its basically a computer on wheels.
