I have a 2009 2.0T. I have the dreaded oil consumption issue. Approximately 1 L for every 1300 miles. Outside Audi's tolerances so I have to live with it. It does bother me - the additional cost, the fact that a car with the reputation of an Audi should have this problem.
That being said I love the car but am still contemplating getting rid of it. I am not an expert engineer so I was just wondering what the pitfalls are of a car that burns oil (apart from the obvious ones).
Does it mean that parts will wear quicker? Does it affect acceleration performance? Is it a safety risk etc? Your thoughts appreciated.
