just realised my blower is not working. all the vents move when buttons are pressed but no blow. Have check fuses in drivers foot well but cant find where my relays are?

Is there any other fuses somewhere and where are my relays? help lol

Hi Nick, I don't think they are that many a8 owners on the forum, if you don't have a manual that shoes where abouts the fuses and relays are, can,t you down load one off the internet?

Check the manual for which fuse and then if the fuse is ok you might have to put a multimeter on it and see if its getting 12v

Have checked all fuses and all good. checked the power to blower motor by disconnecting the connectors and both have power going through them. So I guess its looking like the motor has kicked the bucket ??

Good chance of it alright!! If theres 12v getting there and nothing coming out then theres a good chance the motor is knackered. Try cleaning the connections and even spinning the motor and see if it works, just incase its bad wiring

bridges the wires together and the fan comes on

fitted new resistor next to fan motor and fitted new controls inside car and still the fan wont work unless I bridge the earth and live together.

FIXED

Rewired the yellow and red wire to the resistor and we have life again. whooooo
