Hi Guys,

As per the title really.

I bought a Dec '07 A3 Sport and thought I'd read that the heated washer
jets were standard although I've a feeling that they were an option as
mine are frozen up. Were the heated jets an option or are mine just not
working?

I can't seem to find any reference to heated jets in the manual either.

Will be a bit disappointing if they're not standard - I had them in my
last car and they're very useful. Could they be retro-fitted?

If they're like the Golfs, they were part of the winter pack and therefore an option?

I'm pretty sure they are standard Dave, mine has them and I sure didn't spec them.

Just checked the PR codes for my car and I have the following:



9T1 Heated washer nozzles, front

You can check this against the PR numbers on your data sticker.

Hmm, that's not the answer I'm looking for!! [] I'll have to look into retro-fitting it if that's the case. I had it on the Golf and it's one of those things that you don't appreciate until you haven't got it.

Sorry Sem, didn't see your post when I replied to Chris's post.

Thanks for that. I put 1.5litres of water / anti-freeze in the bottle today (which filled it to the brim so it wasn't out of fluid before) and took it for a good drive. The jets are now working so I'm a bit stumped as to what it was. Maybe the fluid in the bottle had frozen? I'll see how it is in the morning.

As for piccies of the new motor, it's needing a good clean first. It's had a quick clean but not good enough for photos! And it's just too cold out there to get the polish out!

Glad its sorted matey - my rear one has packed up though. I dont think thats heated so hoping its froze...lol

I'm pretty sure the rear isn't heated Kaz so it sounds like it's frozen.

Ive had mine sicne june and with this crappy weather, only polished it once! lol

Hopefully, when my kit goes on, Im going to get the guys at the bodyshop to buff it all

The salesman told me that they were standard on the sports model (thats the model i am buying) not sure about other models
